Main activities
The focus of WG2 was the comparison and evaluation of different methods and unification towards a common framework. Testing and evaluation of technology in four main areas were conducted:
- Image and Video Segmentation: extraction of coherent spatio-temporal regions and their low-level features including shape, texture, colour and motion.
- Shot Analysis and Key frame extraction: modality conversion from video segments to images, from which visual features were extracted.
- Efficient extraction of standardized features.
